Watch The Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars Announcement Trailer

Konami announced at the Tokyo Game Show: that in 2023, it will release remasters of the classic role-playing games. Of course, I am beyond excited! Suikoden I and II have been on my must-play list for years now. I have looked into getting the games, but the price tag for both is far out of my budget. I did pick up Suikoden on my Playstion 3 through the PS Store. Now that these remasters are coming out, I think I will wait to play the definitive version.

The graphics and sprites are getting an HD update and look fantastic. The remasters will feature quality-of-life improvements, including auto-battle and fast forward. I know that I will make use of both of these features. From what I have gathered online, both games' translations are new. Some good news because the original translation of these games is supposedly awful.

Suikoden 1 & 2 HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification War come out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch. I can't wait to experience these beloved JRPGs. What about you?
