The Cowabunga Collection is out now, so I thought this video from IGN: The Radical History of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Games would be a fun watch. I even learned about a few PC games I had not heard of before. Since the very first moment that I saw the TMNT cartoon in 1987, I have been a fan. The cartoon was great, but the video games let me play as one of the Turtles, and for a kid, that was awesome!

As I have mentioned in previous posts, the original NES game was arduous, but that didn't stop it from being one of my favorite games. What a killer soundtrack too! It still gives me that nostalgic feeling to this day. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade game is, to this day, one of my top favorite arcade cabinets. Whenever I find an arcade, it is the first thing I want to play. Unfortunately, it isn't always available. Thankfully they put it in the Cowabunga Collection. The first TMNT Gameboy game was one of my favorite games growing up, and it was one of the first games I ever beat. It is an easy game, but it made this grade-schooler feel pretty rad.

Nowadays, I enjoy the TMNT beat-em-ups the most, and the Cowabunga Collection has a few of them, and you can play online with others. I love the games and toys that bring back that magical feeling of being a kid, and this video brought back a lot of great memories. I have been trying to find all of these old games and toys. I haven't got them all yet, but slowly I am building up my collection.

Have you picked up the Cowabunga Collection yet? Which game is your favorite? Maybe we will play Turtles in Time together online sometime. Go, Ninja Go!
